Homeschool and Scout Groups at Adriana Hess and Morse Wildlife Preserve

Registration must be submitted 2 weeks before the intended visit. You will receive email confirmation. Spaces and times are limited and scheduling will be done on a first come first served basis.

HOMESCHOOL AT HESS

 

Homeschool at Hess programs will be offered on Wednesday mornings or afternoons and will consist of a one hour lesson taught by a trained Tahoma Audubon educator at Adriana Hess Wetland Park in University Place. Curriculum is suited to 1st - 6th grade standards. Groups are welcome to stay and explore Adriana Hess after their lesson completes. Co-ops and groups welcome!

 

Cost: $7 / student

 

Minimum Group Size: 4 students

 

Day/Time: Wednesdays 10 am -or- 1pm

(Spring, Fall and Winter only)

 

Topics offered: Birds, Wetland, Plants, Nature Journaling (extra supplies needed), Habitat at Hess

HOMESCHOOL AT MORSE

 

Homeschool at Morse programs will be offered in the afternoon on the second Sunday of each month starting in June and going through October. Curriculum packets are provided for groups do a self guided tour in order to connect to nature and enrich homeschool curriculum of Morse Wildlife Preserve in Graham. Curriculum is suited to 3rd - 6th grade.

Cost:

$25 for groups of 5 students or less

$50 for groups of more than 5 students

Cost covers curriculum packets and booking fees.

 

Day/time: Second Sunday (June-October) from 1-3pm

 

Topics offered: Wetland Loop or Woodland Loop - includes math, art, science and language arts
